Behind the Reels
SlotMania24 is an independent slots magazine. We write about how slot machines work and grade the casinos that host them.
Who writes the stories
SlotMania24 Maths Desk
Latest: Slot Volatility Meaning: Spread, Variance and Your Bankroll
Every story on SlotMania24 carries one byline, the SlotMania24 Maths Desk. It names how the stories get made, not a person, which is why no writer's face or bio appears anywhere on the site.
The desk writes with AI tools. A newer story starts from sources picked for that one piece, such as a game's own files, a provider's sheet or a regulator's page, links them where it uses them and lists them at its foot.
Before anything is filed it runs through automated checks on its figures and its wording. A story that fails them is held back, not published.
Spot a number that looks wrong? Tell us. A person reads every note.
Where the machine data comes from
The RTP Machines on the Lobby read their reel strips, paytables and RTP sets from the open-source slotopol/server project, published under the MIT licence. Some sets in those files run above 100% RTP. We show them because they are in the data.
slotopol/server on GitHubHow casino tests are graded
Each casino gets a letter from S to D, built from four parts: its slot lineup, its first deposit deal, how deposits and payouts work, and its licence and years in business. The slot lineup weighs the most, at 35%. Sportsbooks and lottery sites get a page with the facts but no letter.
